Market 426: 101 Spider Veloce 10107 167647

Update 12/12/12:  What are the chances this car is available now on Autotrader for $17,000?  Not much I would bet.  Thanks Mark for pointing this scam out!

Update 7/12:  Car sold for a little over $60,000.

Giulietta Spider Veloce 10107*167647, 00106*01234. This car is on eBay right now out of Georgia by a reputable seller usually dealing in Maserati’s.  The car is tidy, complete and functional and would likely suit the buyer looking for something they can use without worry and improve when the fit takes them.

Lovely.  White suits the Spider very well.  All the trim, fit and finish is nice. Sellers got a nice driveway!

See?  No need for extra badges etc.  Just the trunk lock and curves is all it needs.

All red white and black with a sprinkling of chrome.  Phew -no black piping on the seats.  Horn button is a little filmy looking -must be one of the new repro’s available on eBay right now.  I bought a Sprint horn button from them and it is filmy like this.

New Tach insert only?

Repair to passenger side floor or just an odd shine to the paint?

Looks pretty good under here other than the non body color engine compartment.  You could spend some hours taking it all apart and repainting it.

00106.  The other Veloce engine.  I’m looking for one of these blocks to rebuild.  Got one for me?

Vin with an F.  Looks like they painted the firewall brackets, screws and all.  Seller thinks the engine compartment was always black -I doubt it.  There is obvious over spray on rubber and screws above.  They painted the cars before they assembled them.

  1. Hello Matt, I was wondering if you knoew a place where I could get my guages redone (plastic is yellow)….

    • What kind of gauges are they? MPH or KPH, Veloce or Normale? I’ll swap the rings and clean them up nice if you want for reasonable $.

  2. Hello Matt –

I have a couple of questions:

One one of your links, I found stats on this model year. I am confused – the 106 engine does not seem to match with the range of chassis numbers found on the web link below:'s/Technical%20Data.php
Not sure if that is a big deal or not.

Also, I thought the European models had amber tail lights and side running lights. This one has the side running lights but red tail lights. Again, maybe not a big deal.

The rpm gauge looks to go beyond the 180khp. Again, big deal?

I happy to call if easier to discuss.

Thank you. Happy 4th of July.

    Regards, Mark

    • I don’t know exactly what was paid, but I had a lengthy conversation with the new owner on Sunday. Sounds like a very good car that has gone to a very good home.

      • I’m glad it went to a very good home. I am the guy who owned it for 35 years. It is a great and fun car. It took me 5+ years to decide to part with it. The recent rise in valuation put me over the edge.

  3. Dear Noir – I am the owner and have enjoyed the car immensely since the summer. I would love to call you for some background info if you are inclined to receive a phone call. Regards, Mark (713-854-2318)
