  1. Just to add more Alfa numbering confusion – my 101.12 Sprint 1600 built 21 January 1963 has chassis no. 10112*382001 – yes, a ’38’ prefix rather than the usual ’35’. Only two cars were made with the ’38’ prefix: mine went to Rudd’s in the UK where it was converted to RHD and thence to Australia; *382002 went to Thompson & Taylor, also in the UK, also specialists in RHD-converting Alfas.

  2. I purchased Sprint 1600 10112*352852 in Australia. and begin restoration in January. Couple of questions about the car. Firstly is that the remains of the Bertone rear seat. Before I pull it down should I be trying to preserve that seat? Also the chrome ashtray type thing on the transmission tunnel. Is that original? Thanks. Your site is amazing. Got more pictures of the car here than I did when buying it.
