Update 7/1/10: This car was sold for $7100 after 21 bids were placed. Not such a bad deal for what appears to be a very complete, original and solid project car with a bad nose job to fix.
Giulietta Sprint 10102 22315. This car is on eBay right now out of New York or possibly Montreal. Other than some unfortunate modifications it’s a pretty original solid example. Would be kind of fun to leave the modifications and use it as is for a few years to upset concours judges and the like.
Kind of has a Facel Vega feel or maybe something garish from Ghia on a 1900 platform -but interpreted by a drunk from a small picture in the back of a magazine. That Bertone badge placement next to the passenger side headlamp is really horrible.
I have to assume that there was an accident and someone got clever with the repair. Looks great from the A pillar back.
Bertone badge back here is not good either, but the rest of the car looks great -I bet this paint could even be made to shine.
Very original. I wonder if they could be salvaged?
Hood scoops are just plain weird. Front end does look flattened from this angle.
Jeez, is this from a Chevy or what? Everything else looks okay except the peely dash cover.
The heater fan is odd -never seen a mod like that. Compression numbers, all from 130 – 140 means it should run reasonably well and they will probably come up a little with some use if it hasn’t run in a while.
I got a lot of emails about this one -unified by a sense of awe bordering on nausea, but if gotten for the $6K it is right now or a little more, this would be a good entry into Sprints and may actually make a decent rolling restoration -but I guess that depends if you could be seen with this front end on your Sprint.
